From 3fdb24beb96f547c2d7cebe5a405d6309bafe428 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Cody Boone Ferguson <53008573+xexyl@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Sat, 29 Jun 2024 11:23:47 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Fix code blocks in 1991 and part of 1992 In 1991 the code blocks in the html files should look better with smaller screens. In one entry, rince, an image was added as the formatting is too complicated to get right. The text was changed from two columns to one column and then a screenshot was taken so that it's a bit easier to see with smaller widths. This looks fairly good on mobile phones too. The only downside, of course, is if the web pages ever change to have a different background or code colour it won't match but it did not look right with mobile phones. This required a manifest update. In 1992 one entry's html file defeated me for now so I had to stop. This can be looked at later. The last entry I am committing changes to is 1991/buzzard.1. It was buzzard.2/buzzard.2.design.md that is a big problem and will have to be done another time. --- 1991/ant/README.md | 27 +++++++++++++++----- 1991/ant/index.html | 27 +++++++++++++++----- 1991/buzzard/README.md | 5 ++-- 1991/buzzard/index.html | 5 ++-- 1991/dds/README.md | 2 +- 1991/dds/index.html | 2 +- 1991/rince/.entry.json | 8 ++++++ 1991/rince/README.md | 25 ++++-------------- 1991/rince/index.html | 23 ++++------------- 1991/rince/map-key.jpg | Bin 0 -> 208901 bytes 1991/westley/README.md | 51 +++++++++---------------------------- 1991/westley/index.html | 47 +++++++++------------------------- 1992/adrian/README.md | 4 ++- 1992/adrian/index.html | 4 ++- 1992/buzzard.1/README.md | 12 ++++----- 1992/buzzard.1/index.html | 12 ++++----- thanks-for-help.html | 3 +++ thanks-for-help.md | 4 +++ tmp/manifest.csv | 1 + tmp/manifest.numbers | Bin 1342018 -> 1342634 bytes tmp/path_list.built.txt | 1 + tmp/path_list.found.txt | 1 + tmp/path_list.manifest.txt | 1 + 23 files changed, 119 insertions(+), 146 deletions(-) create mode 100644 1991/rince/map-key.jpg diff --git a/1991/ant/README.md b/1991/ant/README.md index 60cd90ec6..04cce98b2 100644 --- a/1991/ant/README.md +++ b/1991/ant/README.md @@ -88,12 +88,24 @@ results depending on the implementation of `curses`. ### Commands ``` - h j k l left, down, up, right cursor movement - H J K L word left, page down, page up, word right - [ ] beginning and end of line - t b top and bottom of file - i enter insert mode, form-feed to quit - x delete character under the cursor + h j k l left, + down, + up, + right + cursor movement + H J K L word left, + page down, + page up, + word right + [ ] beginning and + end of line + t b top and bottom + of file + i enter insert + mode, form-feed + to quit + x delete character + under the cursor W write buffer to file R refresh the screen Q quit @@ -104,7 +116,8 @@ results depending on the implementation of `curses`. ``` 0 success - 2 missing edit filename + 2 missing edit + filename ``` diff --git a/1991/ant/index.html b/1991/ant/index.html index 023f6b537..6c71de905 100644 --- a/1991/ant/index.html +++ b/1991/ant/index.html @@ -448,18 +448,31 @@ Carriage return is mapped to newline on input and ignored on output.
