Subject: [PATCH] fix HTML error in authors.html

There was an "<p>" without a related "</p>".

Changed `bin/gen-authors.sh` VERSION from to "1.6 2024-04-15"
to "1.7 2024-04-16".

Run `make gen_authors` to perform the above and test under macOS.
