From 9d08b20a5d451450cadd70edec3e50debb86e8a1 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Cody Boone Ferguson <53008573+xexyl@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Sat, 23 Dec 2023 09:13:29 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] chmod +x 1986/applin/applin.c The program works as a shell script too so rather than having to do sh applin.c one can do ./applin.c though of course they could also do sh applin.c if they wanted to. Since the 'to use' shows './applin' the 'try' no longer shows it. Instead it just shows './applin.c'. --- 1986/applin/README.md | 4 +--- 1986/applin/applin.c | 0 thanks-for-help.md | 6 ++++++ 3 files changed, 7 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) mode change 100644 => 100755 1986/applin/applin.c diff --git a/1986/applin/README.md b/1986/applin/README.md index 360377fab..323b837f3 100644 --- a/1986/applin/README.md +++ b/1986/applin/README.md @@ -15,9 +15,7 @@ make all ### Try: ```sh -sh applin.c - -./applin +./applin.c ``` diff --git a/1986/applin/applin.c b/1986/applin/applin.c old mode 100644 new mode 100755 diff --git a/thanks-for-help.md b/thanks-for-help.md index 81063b2c2..ae0466a3f 100644 --- a/thanks-for-help.md +++ b/thanks-for-help.md @@ -334,6 +334,12 @@ Cody also added the [try.sh](/1985/sicherman/try.sh) script. # 1986 +## [1986/applin](/1986/applin/applin.c) ([README.md](/1986/applin/README.md])) + +[Cody](#cody) made the C file executable so one does not have to do `sh +./applin.c` or `./applin`; they can do either `./applin.c` or `./applin`. + + ## [1986/hague](/1986/hague/hague.c) ([README.md](/1986/hague/README.md])) [Cody](#cody) made this use `fgets()`.
