From c50835517f2eae12afae743f7dcd88c4a1cff52c Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Cody Boone Ferguson <53008573+xexyl@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Sat, 2 Nov 2024 10:21:50 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Fix html lint (W3C Nu) errors In the case of two which had an abstract (.entry.json file) that includes one (in one case) '<' or two (in another case) '<'s a markdown code block had to be used as otherwise the abstract would have to have a < which looks even worse. This is not ideal but if we want it to pass lint this is what has to be done. Use of json \uxxxx won't work as that encodes it to < literally. In the case of 2018/burton[12] the author had a section called Coda. This conflicted with the problem that all generated html files have such a section. To fix this problem I renamed it 'Final remarks'. Not ideal but at least it now passes as valid. There were a number of different kinds of problems and in one case the symbols < and > could be fixed by changing it to a code block (which it should have been anyway) - that was 2020/ferguson1 I think. --- 1986/bright/.entry.json | 2 +- 1986/bright/index.html | 2 +- 1988/litmaath/.entry.json | 2 +- 1988/litmaath/index.html | 2 +- 1992/albert/.entry.json | 2 +- 1992/albert/index.html | 2 +- 2018/burton1/README.md | 2 +- 2018/burton1/index.html | 2 +- 2018/burton2/README.md | 2 +- 2018/burton2/index.html | 2 +- 2018/ferguson/README.md | 8 ++++---- 2018/ferguson/index.html | 10 ++++------ 2020/ferguson1/terminals.html | 2 +- 2020/ferguson1/terminals.md | 2 +- 14 files changed, 20 insertions(+), 22 deletions(-) diff --git a/1986/bright/.entry.json b/1986/bright/.entry.json index f44d465a0..042fa14cc 100644 --- a/1986/bright/.entry.json +++ b/1986/bright/.entry.json @@ -6,7 +6,7 @@ "dir" : "bright", "entry_id" : "1986_bright", "title" : "1986.bright", - "abstract" : "hex dump with cpp compressed that uses lots of << for constants", + "abstract" : "hex dump with cpp compressed that uses lots of `<<` for constants", "author_set" : [ { "author_handle" : "Walter_Bright" diff --git a/1986/bright/index.html b/1986/bright/index.html index 3a57d90d9..718adba2b 100644 --- a/1986/bright/index.html +++ b/1986/bright/index.html @@ -406,7 +406,7 @@
