From cbb698d83fcac50c813228a13e1fcd7e17fc25c9 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Landon Curt Noll Date: Sat, 17 Feb 2024 21:50:04 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] remove top level file checks from entry manifest check We skip the check of the top level files, `ioccc.css` and `var.mk` in `bin/chk-entry.sh`. Tools that `ioccc.css` and `var.mk`, such as `bin/tar-entry.sh` will explicitly check for ioccc.css` and `var.mk` in addition the check made with `bin/chk-entry.sh`. --- bin/chk-entry.sh | 50 +++--------------------------------------------- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 47 deletions(-) diff --git a/bin/chk-entry.sh b/bin/chk-entry.sh index 42ea838de..977ecd964 100755 --- a/bin/chk-entry.sh +++ b/bin/chk-entry.sh @@ -49,7 +49,7 @@ shopt -s globstar # enable ** to match all files and zero or more directories an # set variables referenced in the usage message # -export VERSION="1.0.1 2024-02-13" +export VERSION="1.1 2024-02-17" NAME=$(basename "$0") export NAME export V_FLAG=0 @@ -323,46 +323,6 @@ if [[ ! -s $FILELIST_ENTRY_JSON_AWK ]]; then exit 6 fi -# verify we have non-empty readable ioccc.css file -# -IOCCC_CSS="ioccc.css" -if [[ ! -e $IOCCC_CSS ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: ioccc.css does not exist: $IOCCC_CSS" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi -if [[ ! -f $IOCCC_CSS ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: ioccc.css is not a file: $IOCCC_CSS" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi -if [[ ! -r $IOCCC_CSS ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: ioccc.css is not a readable file: $IOCCC_CSS" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi -if [[ ! -s $IOCCC_CSS ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: ioccc.css is not a not a non-empty readable file: $IOCCC_CSS" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi - -# verify we have non-empty readable ioccc.css file -# -VAR_MK="var.mk" -if [[ ! -e $VAR_MK ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: var.mk does not exist: $VAR_MK" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi -if [[ ! -f $VAR_MK ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: var.mk is not a file: $VAR_MK" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi -if [[ ! -r $VAR_MK ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: var.mk is not a readable file: $VAR_MK" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi -if [[ ! -s $VAR_MK ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: var.mk is not a not a non-empty readable file: $VAR_MK" 1>&2 - exit 8 -fi - # parameter debugging # if [[ $V_FLAG -ge 3 ]]; then @@ -386,8 +346,6 @@ if [[ $V_FLAG -ge 3 ]]; then echo "$0: debug[3]: DOT_PATH=$DOT_PATH" 1>&2 echo "$0: debug[3]: ENTRY_JSON=$ENTRY_JSON" 1>&2 echo "$0: debug[3]: FILELIST_ENTRY_JSON_AWK=$FILELIST_ENTRY_JSON_AWK" 1>&2 - echo "$0: debug[3]: IOCCC_CSS=$IOCCC_CSS" 1>&2 - echo "$0: debug[3]: VAR_MK=$VAR_MK" 1>&2 fi # If -N, time to exit @@ -453,8 +411,6 @@ if [[ $status -ne 0 ]]; then echo "$0: ERROR: awk -f $FILELIST_ENTRY_JSON_AWK $ENTRY_JSON > $TMP_MANIFEST_LIST failed, error: $status" 1>&2 exit 7 fi -echo "$IOCCC_CSS" >> "$TMP_MANIFEST_LIST" -echo "$VAR_MK" >> "$TMP_MANIFEST_LIST" sort -d -u "$TMP_MANIFEST_LIST" -o "$TMP_MANIFEST_LIST" status="$?" if [[ $status -ne 0 ]]; then @@ -466,10 +422,10 @@ fi # # We also add ioccc.css and var.mk from the top level. # -find "$IOCCC_CSS" "$VAR_MK" "$ENTRY_PATH" -type f -print > "$TMP_FILE_LIST" +find "$ENTRY_PATH" -type f -print > "$TMP_FILE_LIST" status="$?" if [[ $status -ne 0 ]]; then - echo "$0: ERROR: find $IOCCC_CSS $VAR_MK $ENTRY_PATH -type f -print > $TMP_FILE_LIST failed, error: $status" 1>&2 + echo "$0: ERROR: find $ENTRY_PATH -type f -print > $TMP_FILE_LIST failed, error: $status" 1>&2 exit 7 fi sort -d -u "$TMP_FILE_LIST" -o "$TMP_FILE_LIST"
