From f46e68740fd35574bdcd8842c4d88b4df019fdcd Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Landon Curt Noll Date: Wed, 24 May 2023 16:50:01 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Deprecate twitter We further deprecate the use of twitter. In cases such as historic guidelines and rules, we add a note about using Mastodon. In cases where a tweet URL was used, we replace with an Internet Archive link because twitter has announced that accounts that are not used for a period of time will be deleted. We add a few missing deprecated_twitter information to the author.numbers and author.cvs files. We remove references to twitter handles (after making sure that both author.numbers and author.cvs has the deprecated_twitter information). When the "_README.md_" files have their header information generated by a tool, such deprecated_twitter data will not be present. --- 2012/guidelines.txt | 41 +++++++++++++ 2013/cable1/README.md | 11 ++++ 2013/guidelines.txt | 89 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2013/rules.txt | 11 ++++ 2014/guidelines.txt | 61 ++++++++++++++++++++ 2014/maffiodo2/README.md | 4 +- 2014/rules.txt | 11 ++++ 2015/endoh1/README.md | 1 - 2015/guidelines.txt | 89 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2015/howe/README.md | 1 - 2015/mills1/README.md | 1 - 2015/mills2/README.md | 1 - 2015/rules.txt | 11 ++++ 2018/algmyr/README.md | 1 - 2018/ciura/README.md | 1 - 2018/guidelines.txt | 71 +++++++++++++++++++++++ 2018/mills/README.md | 1 - 2018/poikola/README.md | 1 - 2018/rules.txt | 11 ++++ 2018/vokes/README.md | 1 - 2019/ciura/README.md | 1 - 2019/diels-grabsch1/guidelines.txt | 63 ++++++++++++++++++++ 2019/duble/README.md | 1 - 2019/guidelines.txt | 71 +++++++++++++++++++++++ 2019/karns/README.md | 1 - 2019/lynn/README.md | 1 - 2019/mills/README.md | 1 - 2019/poikola/README.md | 1 - 2019/rules.txt | 11 ++++ 2020/burton/README.md | 1 - 2020/ferguson1/chocolate-cake.html | 4 +- 2020/ferguson1/chocolate-cake.md | 4 +- 2020/guidelines.txt | 71 +++++++++++++++++++++++ 2020/kurdyukov1/README.md | 1 - 2020/kurdyukov2/README.md | 1 - 2020/kurdyukov3/README.md | 1 - 2020/kurdyukov4/README.md | 1 - 2020/rules.txt | 11 ++++ tmp/author.csv | 4 +- tmp/author.numbers | Bin 317050 -> 317126 bytes 40 files changed, 641 insertions(+), 28 deletions(-) diff --git a/2012/guidelines.txt b/2012/guidelines.txt index ed80fc705..cfa96343f 100644 --- a/2012/guidelines.txt +++ b/2012/guidelines.txt @@ -44,6 +44,17 @@ ABOUT THIS FILE: | | and reload that page every once in a while. +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- +An important 2023 update to this historic note: + +The IOCCC no longer uses twitter.
