When Landon initially tried getting it to work he ended up making the
include files in the Makefile (-include ...) to restore it to be a
one-liner but this was actually an error as it was not a one-liner but
rather a best small program; the original code has the #includes in the
source file.
At the same time I made the code itself one-line as it was indeed one
line (the source of the problem, of course).
Now the fixed code (segfaulted with gcc, failed to compile with clang),
both original and alt version (southern hemisphere: based on the
author's remarks but with my fixes applied) that I added, looks more
like the original.
With clang it did not compile at all; with gcc it segfaulted. Now it
works properly. It's a crescent moon today and that's exactly what is
being shown. This required another function but since it wasn't a
one-liner this doesn't cause any problems with the award either.
There was an attempt to get natori.c to compile.
We moved the 2 includes to the compile line
restoring the code as a 1-liner.
We forced the types of args iun main to conform to
bogons introduced by the ANSI-C committee.
Nevertheless, the code still fails to compile:
assignment to cast is illegal, lvalue casts are not supported
This will be a TODO fix for later.
We we move 1988-2004 entries from all of a year's winning entries
in a single directory to each winner being in their own sub-directory
under the given year directory.
