Simply the Makefile header.
Refer to the //www.ioccc.org/bugs.md URL (that will eventually exist).
Now using CC BY-SA 4.0 License to how you may share and adapt the
Makefile.
Fix dead link. Apout is no longer available at the location in the
README.md. Instead it's on GitHub. I checked it and it's the same
author, Warren Toomey of TUHS so I know it's good (or at least the
program is: not sure if the repo is owned by him).
Format fixes.
Fix ioccc.org link (though it shouldn't be necessary since mullender.c
is actually in the repo).
With all README.md files I changed the copyright years to refer not to
2016 but 2015 as the year was 2015 and 2016 did not even have a contest.
I fixed formatting and some typos in a few of the README.md files but
mostly the changes are the copyright years.
As a reminder to myself I have only looked at (counting those of commit
fa31f80b39) burton, dogon, duble and part
of endoh1. The rest will come in a future commit or maybe commits.
Format fixes (maybe typos?) in README.md.
Added calc.1 which is essentially what was calc.man but so one can
actually get expected formatting when using man ./calc.1. If I fixed any
typos they are not fixed in calc.man. I kept the commands the same so
one would have to change calc to ./prog.
Formatting and maybe typos in road.to.obscurity.
As in
find . -name 'whowon.html' -execdir git rm '{}' \;
or more simply just
git rm '*/whowon.html'
This is per discussion on GitHub - the files will in the future be
generated rather than made manually so these files must go for now.
The commit 00ae59cd47 had a
mistake that introduces changes to Makefiles for 1996 thru 2020
that should not have been included.
This change reverses these intermediate changes until
the given year's Makefiles are ready.
There are some places where this was not done: in data files that refer
to binaries (examples being 2001/herrmann1/{README.md,herrmann1.c} and
those related to 1990/theorem for Turing and Fibonacci respectively). In
comments in code it was changed to be capitalised though this is
potentially problematic in that maybe it was intentional by the authors.
Depending on if it was the beginning of the sentence the EMail would
become 'Email' or 'email'.
Some references of 'Email' were changed to 'email' as well as those were
not in the beginning of a sentence.
A few places some consistency of capitalised email address (made lower
case) were changed to match other places of the same pattern.

but I am not clear on some of the changes here. For instance some of the
text changed were html anchors and I'm not sure of the implications of
it other than the fact that changing the filenames (see commits
77fb0f11a2 and
851e191519) would break the links. Whether
more needs to be done or not I do not know.
As per discussions on GitHub the index.html and hint.html files should
be deleted in favour of README.md files (from any
.text/.txt/.markdown/.md files which will be turned into README.md in an
upcoming commit).
Make changes to links impacted when we move 1988-2004 entries
from all of a year's winning entries in a single directory
to each winner being in their own sub-directory under the
given year directory.
In a number of cases, an absolute URL for www.ioccc.org
was replaced with a document root relative URL.
In some cases the absolute URL was removed.
Removed mirror request pages.
The 2020 winners are hinted it, but the source code is not there,
nor are the hints. Someone could look into the HTML and
see what was commented out, but that is not a problem because
WHO won is known and the name of their AWARD is known already.
Moreover a number of the winners have talked about what their
entirs do, so the commented out spoiler text is not a bit problem.
One will find HTML commented out with:
<!-- XXX remove when 2020 is ready
2020 links here
XXX remove when 2020 is ready -->
The "XXX remove when 2020 is ready" string is found at the
start and end comment blocks. Again, soneone could read
what was commented out, but that is OK since most of that
information is known or can be known. The following files
have such HTML comment blocks in them.
./winners.html
./years-spoiler.html
./years.html
In addition, ./all/summary.txt was modified to not
include the 2020 entries for the momemt.
The 2020 winner code AND write-ups are NOT part of this set.
p.s. The all/all.tar.bz2 does not contain the 2020 source code (yet?).
