Simply the Makefile header.
Refer to the //www.ioccc.org/bugs.md URL (that will eventually exist).
Now using CC BY-SA 4.0 License to how you may share and adapt the
Makefile.
As the years.html file will be generated with a tool (yet to be written)
having the bug notice will (greatly)? complicate the generation. Thus
the bug notice (which I discovered when working on 2020/ferguson2) was
moved to 2014/vik/README.md.
But why? Because it is a good idea, I think, to note that although
mostly correct, there is a minor problem with it. I don't have a fix for
it but whether I ever look at that I do not know.
I also made a minor change in 2020/ferguson2/README.md: changed a full
stop to an exclamation mark as it seemed better.
Surprise, surprise there are more updates on my entries! :-) But to be
fair to me there were some important fixes and I had not really gone
through the README files of these entries (I still didn't go through all
of them thoroughly and probably won't since I'm far too concise :-)
:-)). In fact some of these problems broke some of the features of some
of the entries.
In 2020/ferguson1: termcaps must be compiled by make all. It also needed
a make test rule that runs ./termcaps. As well it needed a play and
snake-colours rule which copies and chmod +x the respective .sh files.
There were some typo fixes here and there as well as (I hope) a bit
clearer wording.
Some out of date things were changed.
There were some things I wanted to reiterate and stress even more that
are important notes about the cake.
Of course the ferguson2 files are still encrypted with a specific key
for the Enigma machine (one of the keys I provided in recode.md /
recode.html but which is a challenge though probably pointless since
it's also in ferguson1 unencrypted).
Updated 2020/ferguson2/.gitignore: added data files specific to the
encryption of the cake files so I can more easily fix it should I need
to update the files under 2020/ferguson2 (unlikely as that might be).
This is to let the viewers know that sometimes the program will display
invalid input. The note is modelled after some of the other entries that
have bug reports. Okay it's also some shameless self promotion but never
mind that! :-)
As well a few minor changes in 2014/vik/README.md mostly being removing
double spaces in favour of single spaces (particularly in the general
text). There were some other formatting fixes as well.
In 2020/ferguson2/README.md I made a few adjustments as well (though I'm
aware of a few more changes in 2020/ferguson[12]/README.md I want to
make).
It has been deemed that this should be okay now so we decided to add the
code.
This required a minor change in 2020/ferguson2 which I have made here as
well in this commit.
As in
find . -name 'whowon.html' -execdir git rm '{}' \;
or more simply just
git rm '*/whowon.html'
This is per discussion on GitHub - the files will in the future be
generated rather than made manually so these files must go for now.
The commit 00ae59cd47 had a
mistake that introduces changes to Makefiles for 1996 thru 2020
that should not have been included.
This change reverses these intermediate changes until
the given year's Makefiles are ready.
Move copyright notice to the end.
Add a standard comment about the newly added `README.md` files.
Clean up trailing whitespace.
Fixed a few minor typos.
