This commit restructures an invoice's ContractTerms to better encompass
the restrictions placed on settling. For instance, the final ctlv delta
and invoice expiry are moved from the main invoice body (where
additional metadata is stored). Additionally, it moves the State field
outside of the terms since it is rather metadata about the invoice
instead of any terms offered to the sender in the payment request.
This commit modifies the FetchPayment method to return MPPayment structs
converted from the legacy on-disk format. This allows us to attach the
HTLCs to the events given to clients subscribing to the outcome of an
HTLC.
This commit also bubbles up to the routerrpc/router_server, by
populating HTLCAttempts in the response and extracting the legacy route
field from the HTLCAttempts.
This commit beings the process of deprecating unsafe-disconnect. Many
moons ago this was disallowed to prevent concurency bugs surrounding
reconnect. Despite the name, it has been safe to enable this feature for
well over a year, as several PRs have been merged that addressed the
possible issues that existed when the feature was added.
This commit introduces a feature.Manager, which derives feature vectors
for various contexts within the daemon. The sets can be described via a
staticly compiled format, which makes any runtime adjustments to the
feature sets when the manager is initialized.
In this commit, we refactor the testSingleHopSendToRoute test to support
table driven tests for various endpoints and payment types. Currently
only the main rpcserver's SendToRoute is tested, so we also add
support the SendToRouteSync and the routerrpc's SendToRoute.
The tests are also modified to have each endpoint perform a single-hop,
single-shot MPP payment. This asserts that the Hop messages are being
properly unmarshalled and that setting correctly yields a successful
payment. At the momemnt the receiver does not actually verify or use the
MPP fields presented in the onion, though this test will be expanded
later as those pieces are assembled.
This commit parses mpp_total_amt_msat and mpp_payment_addr from the
SendToRoute rpc and populates an MPP record on the internal hop
reprsentation. When the router goes to encode the onion packet, these
fields will be serialized for the destination. We also populate the mpp
fields when marshalling routes in rpc responses.
This commit add mpp_total_amt_msat and mpp_payment_addr to the Hop
message. Doing so enables users submitting mpp payments via rpc to
set these parameters for the destination. In addition, it will allow us
to display these fields in rpc responses.
These encoders can be composed to create composite types without
incurring additional allocations that would be required to pass the
truncated types through the generic interface.
This commit modifies the NewPayloadFromReader to apply known
presence/omission contraints in the event that the tlv parser returns an
unknown required type failure.
Now that the parser has been modified to finished parsing the stream to
obtain a proper parsed type set, we can accurately apply these higher
level validation checks. This overrides required type failures, such
that they are only returned if the sender properly abided by the
constraints on fields for which we know.
The unit tests are updated to create otherwise valid payloads that then
return unknown required type failures. In one case, a test which
previously returned an unknown required type failure is made to return
an included failure for the sid, indicating the unknown required type 0
is being overruled.
An InvalidOnionPayload implies that the onion was successfully received
by the reporting node, but that they were unable to extract the
contents. Since we assume our own behavior is correct, this mostly
likely poins to an error in the reporter's implementation or that we
sent an unknown required type. Therefore we only penalize that single
hop, and consider the failure terminal if the receiver reported it.
This commit modifies the link return an InvalidOnionPayload failure when
it cannot parse a TLV payload. The offset is left at zero, since its
unclear how useful it will be in practice and would require some
significant reworkings of the abstractions in the tlv package.
TODO: add unit tests. currently none of the test unit infrastructure is
setup to handle TLV payloads, so this would require implementing a
separate mock iterator for TLV payloads that also supports injecting
invalid payloads. Deferring this non-trival effor till a later date
This commit adds a hop.PayloadViolation enum which encompasses the cases
where the sender omits, includes, or requires a type that causes an
ErrInvalidPayload faiulre.
The existing Omitted bool is converted to this PayloadViolation, and
NewPayloadFromReader is updated to return such a failure with a
RequiredViolation when an unknown required type is detected.
The unit tests are updated to cover the three possible cases of
RequiredViolations, as well as included valid intermediate and final hop
tests.
Notably, solaris/amd64 and illumos/amd64 were added in go1.13. The
others were have been supported previously but were not build targets.
After go1.13, nacl/* will no longer be supported and plan9/* is still
considered experiemental. As a result they are omitted.
In order to prevent future unforeseen issues, we are temporarily
disabling the ability to send custom tlv records to the receiver of a
payment. Currently the receiver does not process or expose these
additional fields via rpc or internally, so they are being disabled
until the end-to-end flow is finished and fully validated.
This prevents the DLP protocol from breaking as a result of the
refactor, since the closing or closed channels won't be included in the
peer's active map.
Now that the link will remain ineligible until it receives
channel_reestablish from the remote peer, we can remove the channel
reestablish timeout entirely.
This commit modifies the link's EligibleToForward() method only return
true once the peers have successfully exchanged channel reestablish
messages. This is a preliminary step to increasing the reestablish
timeout, ensuring the switch won't try to forward over links while
we're waiting for the remote peer to resume the connection.
Since we will now wait to deliver the event after channel reestablish,
notifying when the link is added to the switch will no longer be
sufficient. Later, we will add receiving reestablish as an additional
requirement for EligibleToForward returning true.
The inactive ntfn is also moved, to ensure that we don't fire inactive
notifications if no corresponding active notification was sent.
This commit applies the same cd /tmp prefix to installations for all
dependencies. It also corrects the previous behavior, which requires the
cd /tmp to be in the same command, and not separate statements.
From BOLT 04:
The writer:
- MUST include amt_to_forward and outgoing_cltv_value for every node.
- MUST include short_channel_id for every non-final node.
- MUST NOT include short_channel_id for the final node.
This commit adds an additional return value to
Stream.DecodeWithParsedTypes, which returns the set of types that were
encountered during decoding. The set will contain all known types that
were decoded, as well as unknown odd types that were ignored.
The rationale for the return value (rather than an internal member) is
so that the stream remains stateless.
This return value can be used by callers during decoding to make
assertions as to whether specific types were included in the stream.
This is need, for example, when parsing onion payloads where certain
fields must be included/omitted depending on the hop type.
The original Decode method would incur the additional performance hit of
needing to track the parsed types, so we can selectively enable this
functionality when a decoder requires it by using a helper which
conditionally tracks the parsed types.
Currently the underlying array backing the hop's TLVRecords is modified
when combining custom records with the primitive forwarding info. This
commit uses a fresh slice to prevent modifications from mutating the
hop itself.
