This commits uses TestStoreChangePassword to demonstrate that currently
the ChangePassword function only changes the password of the default
root key and not that of other root keys. This will be fixed in an
upcoming commit.
With this commit, GenerateNewRootKey will regenerate the Default root
key and will then also check if any other root keys exist and regenerate
those as well.
This commit adds to the existing TestStoreGenerateNewRootKey to show
that the method only successfully regenerates the root key in the
default root key ID location. This will be fixed in an upcoming commit.
In this commit, a new generic DiskOverflowQueue implementation is added.
This allows a user to specify a maximum number of items that the queue
can hold in-memory. Any new items will then overflow to disk. The
producer and consumer of the queue items will interact with the queue
just like a normal in-memory queue.
This commit adds a test to the wtclient. The test demonstrates that if a
client tries to back up states while it has no active sessions with a
server then those updates are accumlated in memory and lost on restart.
This will be fixed in upcoming commits.
This commit adds a a new `MarshalOutPoint` helper in the `lnrpc` package
that can be used to convert a `wire.Outpoint` to an `lnrpc.Outpoint`.
By using this helper, we are less likely to forget to populate both the
string and byte form of the TXID.
Lock the `backupMu` when accessing `c.chanCommitHeights` in the `New`
function. It is not strictly necessary right now but good to add it so
that there is no accidental oversight if the `perUpdate` method is ever
extracted and reused in future.
Since the retrubution info of a backup task is now only constructed at
the time that the task is being bound to a session, the in-memory queue
only needs to carry the BackupID of the task.
Since the TowerClient now has a callback that it can use to retrieve the
retribution for a certain channel and commit height, let it use this
call back instead of requiring the info to be passed to it through
BackupState.
In this commit, a new BuildBreachRetribution callback is added to the
tower client's Config struct. The main LND server provides the client
with an implementation of the callback.
This commit introduces a new `channelSelector` method and moves all
generic logic from `FetchChannel` to it. This refactor will make it
easier to add new methods that require the same open-channel db
traversal with slightly different channel selection logic.
This commit adds a small optimisation to the FetchChannel method.
Instead of iterating over each channel bucket, an identifiable error is
thrown once the wanted channel is found so that the iteration can stop
early.
In this commit, a bug is fixed in the funding manager that could result
in the funding process erroring out if the persisted initial forwarding
policy is not found. This could occur if a node restarts after opening a
channel that is not yet fully confirmed and also upgrades their node
from a pre-0.16 version to 0.16 since the values are only expected to be
persisted after 0.16.
If the tower returns CreateSessionCodeAlreadyExists in response to the
CreateSession message from the client, then skip forward a few key
indices until we find one that the server does not return the error
for. This will allow a client to recover after a data loss incident.
This commit adds a forceNext boolean parameter to NextSessionKeyIndex.
Setting this param to true will force the index to cycle over 1000 key
indices before returning the new key.
In this commit, a test is added to demonstrate how clients can end up
getting the StateUpdateCodeClientBehind error from a tower server. This
can happen if a client ever deletes their db. If they do this then the
sessions they create with the tower will have the same IDs as the
sessions created in the now deleted db. This is because the session keys
(and thus session IDs) are calculated deterministically from a counter
(which is reset if the db is deleted). The tower server then throws this
error because the client would say that the sequence ID is 1 for the
next update.
Ensure that calling Next twice in a row without first calling Reset is
safe when the iterator is at the end of its list. Also alter the
towerListIterator to call Reset after hitting an error on Next.
This commit adds a test that shows that it is possible to cause the
AddressIterator to panic if the `Next` method is ever called twice when
the iterator is at the end of its list without Reset first being called.
Add a new `exclude_exhausted_sessions` field to the relevant
wtclient.proto requests. This was chosen instead of "include_exhausted"
so as to not break the API.
In this commit, a new `ExhaustedSessionFilter` function is added and
used as a PostEvalFilterFn used when loading sessions from the DB. It
allows us to not unnecessarily load exhausted sessions into memory for
areas of the code where they will not be needed.
This commit adds a new PostEvaluateFilterFn call-back option to
`wtdb.ClientSessionListCfg`. This call-back is run _after_ all the other
evaluation call-backs in `wtdb.ClientSessionListCfg` and is only used to
determine if the session should be included in the returned list or not.
In this commit, a PreEvaluateFilterFn option is added to the
wtdb.ClientSessionListCfg and it is used instead of a separate
ClientSessionFilterFn parameter. This neatens quiet a few function
signatures.
This commit adds a deleteSessionFromTower method which can be used to
dial the tower that we created a given session with and then sends that
tower the DeleteSession method.
In this commit, a thread-safe min-heap is implemented. It will carry
sessionCloseItems which carry a sessionID and a block height at which
the session should be closed.
This commit adds a new ListClosableSessions method to the tower client
DB. This method will return a map of sessionIDs to block heights. The
IDs belong to sessions that are considered closable and the block
heights are the block height at which the last associated channel for
the session was closed in.
This commit adds a `MarkChannelClosed` method to the tower client DB.
This function can be called when a channel is closed and it will
check the channel's associated sessions to see if any of them are
"closable". Any closable sessions are added to a new
`cClosableSessionsBkt` bucket so that they can be evaluated in future.
Note that only the logic for this function is added in this commit and
it is not yet called.
In this commit, a migration is added that adds an index from channel to
sessionIDs (using the DB-assigned session IDs). This will make it easier
in future to know which sessions have updates for which channels.
In this commit, a new session-ID index is added to the tower client db
with the help of a migration. This index holds a mapping from a
db-assigned-ID (a uint64 encoded using BigSize encoding) to real session
ID (33 bytes). This mapping will help us save space in future when
persisting references to sessions.
Add a new test htlc set comprised of htlc 1 from the original set and
two new htlcs, 5 and 6, that use the same preimage and have the same
output value (in sats). This htlc set is used in tests that assert the
ordering of htlcs that have the same preimage and output value.
In this commit, an assertion is added to the bolt 3 commitment tx tests
that ensures that the local and remote balances add up to the expected
funding amount. Adding this assertion uncovered a borked test vector
which is also fixed in this commit.
Prior to this commit, the wtclient would request tower info from both
the legacy client and the anchors client and would then merge the
results returned. This is incorrect since the two clients will have
different session info and different "active" statuses for the same
tower. This commit thus ensures that we dont lose this info.
In this commit, a new ClientSessionFilterFn parameter is added to the
DB's ListClientSession method which can be used to allow the caller to
specify a filter function for filtering sessions read from the DB.
Currently all filtering of sessions are done after the sessions have
been read from the DB, so adding this option should provide some
efficiency.
In this commit, a small migration is added to the watchtower client DB
to ensure that there is an entry in the towerID-to-sessionID index for
all towers in the db regardless of if they have sessions or not. This is
required as a follow up to migration 1 since that migration only created
entries in the index for towers that had associated sessions which would
lead to "tower not found" errors on start up.
In the NewBitcoindBackend test util function, ensure that the
`rpcpolling` param is switched on in the correct order. Also switch back
to using `ioutil.TempDir` as it seems that the zmq conn strings created
from `t.TempDir()` result in an invalid conn string.
This commit fixes a bug in the wait.NoError function. If the predicate
function, f, passed to the NoError function would hang for the full
timeout, then the `predErr` would remain nil and so a nil error would be
returned from the function. This commit handles that case.
In this commit, the NewBreachRetribution function is adjusted so that a
caller can optionally set the spendTx parameter to nil. In this case,
the function will check the revocation log to see if the local and
remote amount fields are available there and use them if they are.
If the fields are not present, which they might not be given a previous
migration that removed the fields, then an error is returned.
This commit re-adds the LocalBalance and RemoteBalance fields to the
RevocationLog. The channeldb/migration30 is also adjusted so that anyone
who has not yet run the optional migration will not lose these fields if
they run the migration after this commit.
The reason for re-adding these fields is that they are needed if we want
to reconstruct all the info of the lnwallet.BreachRetribution without
having access to the breach spend transaction. In most cases we would
have access to the spend tx since we would see it on-chain at which time
we would want to reconstruct the retribution info. However, for the
watchtower subsystem, we sometimes want to construct the retribution
info withouth having access to the spend transaction.
A user can use the `--no-rev-log-amt-data` flag to opt-out of storing
these amount fields.
In this commit, a new `--db.no-rev-log-amt-data` flag is added. The
config option is passed though to everywhere that it will be used. Note
that it is still a no-op in this commit. An upcoming commit will make
use of the flag.
Define a MigrationConfig interface that should be used to pass the
config of an optional migration function. An implementation of this
interface is added for migration30 (the only current optional
migration).
Use kvdb package v1.4.1. This update also forced the protobuf version to
be bumped which required `make rpc` to be run to update the generated
files. This also required a bump in the github pinned dependencies
config for the grpc and protobuf libs.
In this commit, all the sql, non-postgres-specific, code is moved out of
the postgres package and into a new sqlbase package. This will make it
more easily reusable for future sql integrations.
In this commit, changes are made to the `kvdb/postgres` package so that
all all the non-postgres-specific code is generalised to be applicable
for all sql code. A follow up commit will move all the general sql code
into its own package.
Due to the update of the kvdb package to go1.18, the `// +build`
directives are no longer required. They are removed in this commit in
order to simplify upcoming commits. Along the way, a few typos are fixed
and an unused struct is removed.
Bump the go version to go1.18 so that we can get rid of the '// +build'
comments in the upcoming commits where some of the '//go:build'
comments will become too complex to write as '// +build' comments.
