To enable converting an existing wallet with private key material into a
watch-only wallet on first startup with remote signing enabled, we add a
new flag. Since the conversion is a destructive process, this shouldn't
happen automatically just because remote signing is enabled.
This fixeslightninglabs/loop#437 by adding all accounts that are used
in liquidity products such as Loop or Pool. Since both of these products
use key families below 255, we can get by with that number.
The alternative to creating way too many accounts (which increases the
default wallet size by ~250kB) would be to hard code the exact accounts
used by Loop (99) and Pool (210). But that sounds like a bad idea given
that there could always be more accounts being added to those (or other)
products. By making sure the first 255 accounts exist, we have a lot
more flexibility in those products for choosing key families.
With the remote signing instance now not needing to know anything about
addresses or current derivation indices, we don't need to forward any
such calls to that instance and can simplify the RPCKeyRing
considerably.
We use SignOutputRaw which expects a witness script being set, even for
P2WKH. There is a special case in SignOutputRaw for the case where the
script is a p2wkh script, then the input script is reconstructed
correctly for the sighash.
In case the channeldb package is used as a library in external tools, it
can be useful to allow read-only access to a DB. This allows such a
tool to access a DB even if not all migrations were executed, which can
be useful for recovery purposes.
To make it possible to even start the DB with a read-only backend, we
need to disable the automatic migration step.
Instead of hard coding a commit to use for a binary tool that we use
during the build process, we now only use "go install" to install the
binaries and the golang builtin versioning system to pin the exact
version/commit we want to use in go.mod.
Fixes#6013.
This commit fixes the Tor healthcheck that would previously fail if
there were multiple hidden service registered.
In the controller, we only need to know that our service is contained in
the list of active services. But we can't do a string equality check
since there might be multiple services, comma separated.
As is customary with new GitHub actions, they don't work on first
attempt if you don't test them *sigh*
We need to use a more recent version of golang than is pre-installed to
avoid the "unknown directive: retract" error message.
PR #5992 was merged without a bump in the kvdb version which results in
an error when trying to pull in lnd 0.14.0-beta as a library in other
projects.
We'll need to push the kvdb/v1.2.1 tag _after_ merging this PR.
Fixes#5927.
This commit moves the code that attempts to create parent directories to
the correct place _after_ we've adjusted all path values to point to the
correct places. Before this commit the macaroon and tor paths would
point to their default locations, even if the --lnddir flag was
specified.
Fixes#5936.
This commit makes sure every error that causes the Main() function to
return is logged to the log file in addition to being printed to stderr.
With this commit we standardize the error messages in the config parsing
section of the main package. We only print to stdout/stderr in a single
place and also make sure the same error is printed to the log (which
might or might not yet be initialized at that point).
This commit adds a unique request ID that is the same for each gRPC
request and response intercept message or each request/response message
of a gRPC stream.
This commit adds a new unique intercept message ID that is different for
each message sent to an RPC middleware. This will allow us to re-purpose
the existing request ID field into its original intention, which was to
have a unique ID for a full gRPC request/response pair or gRPC stream as
a whole.
It looks like in some cases (apparently mostly on Windows) a previous
sub test sometimes leaves some unconfirmed balance in the wallet. That
balance is confirmed in the next test when new coins are sent to the
wallet.
It looks like in some cases a channel is still being closed while we
already try to create a sweep output. In that case the pending closed
channel is still counted as anchor channel and a reserve output is
created. To make sure that doesn't happen, we make sure there are no
pending or open channels of any kind around before we create the sweep
transaction.
