Previously the assumption existed that panic data was already an error.
If that wasn't the case for example because panic("string") was used,
the transaction wasn't unlocked.
Adds an optional tx parameter to ForAllOutgoingChannels and FetchChannel
so that data can be queried within the context of an existing database
transaction.
In lnd, log messages about channels are generally logged with a
reference to their channel point rather than the short channel id.
Channel point is reorg-resistant and also easier to look up in for
example a block explorer.
In the link however, all log messages are accompanied by short channel
id. This makes it difficult to grep a log for all channel activity. The
PEER message for example which are often crucial to analyse, are logged
with channel points.
This commit modifies the link logging to also use channel points.
From bbolt docs:
// Seek positions the cursor at the passed seek key. If the key does not exist,
// the cursor is moved to the next key after seek. Returns the new pair.
This commit fixes the following potential deadlock situation:
* Pathfinding holds a database lock and tries to obtain a mission control lock
via GetProbability
* ReportPaymentSuccess/ReportPaymentFail holds a mission control lock
and tries to obtain a database lock to store the payment result.
The 'payment already exists' case is common in restart scenarios. With
this commit it is no longer necessary to string-match on the error
message. Implementation is identical to SendPaymentV2.
For unconfirmed commit tx anchors, supply the sweeper with cpfp info and
a confirmation target fee estimate.
The sweeper will try to pay for the parent commit tx as long as the
current fee estimate exceeds the pre-signed commit tx fee rate.
Extend the fee estimator to take into account parent transactions with
their weights and fees.
Do not try to cpfp parent transactions that have a higher fee rate than
the sweep tx fee rate.
Preparation for a cpfp-aware weight estimator. For cpfp, a regular
weight estimator isn't sufficient, because it needs to take into account
the weight of the parent transaction(s) as well.
The sweeper call UpdateParams does not update the exclusive group
property of a pending sweep. This led to anchor outputs being swept
after confirmation with an exclusive group restriction, which is not
necessary.
This commit changes the anchor resolver to not use UpdateParams anymore,
but instead always re-offer the anchor input to the sweeper. The sweeper
is modified so that a re-offering also updates the sweep parameters.
The add function tries to add an input to the current set. It therefore
calculates what the new set would look like before actually adding. This
commit isolates the state of the tentative set so that there is less
opportunity for bugs to creep in.
This commit enables lnd to request and renew a Let's Encrypt
certificate. This certificate is used both for the grpc as well as the
rest listeners. It allows clients to connect without having a copy of
the (public) server certificate.

Previously whether or not to add test htlcs was implictly controlled by
a nil value of the HtlcDescs test parameter. With the conversion to
json, that nil value got lost.
The reason that the test still passed is because with the fee rate of
the no-htlc test case, the htlcs were trimmed. Also because in the test
json, balances are specified after applying htlcs, the test didn't fail
with a mismatching balance.
Adds a new configuration flag to lnd that will keep keysend payments in
the accepted state. An application can then inspect the payment
parameters and decide whether to settle or cancel.
The on-the-fly inserted keysend invoices get a configurable expiry time.
This is a safeguard in case the application that should decide on the
keysend payments isn't active.
This commit changes the verification of our code against the spec test
vectors to use a more black box approach. It exercises the channel state
machine via its external interface as much as possible, making this test
more robust. A consequence of this is that the test now runs from the
'root' data from which the test vectors are also derived, meaning that
more code is covered too.
Running from the root data is also a preparation for _producing_ test
vectors for the new anchor commitment format. This will be a matter of
changing the channel type and recording the produced commitment and htlc
txes.
Previously the success transaction was skipped during verification. With
this commit, the proper preimage insertion is carried out, allowing the
success tx to be checked too.
Previously it wasn't possible to store a preimage in the invoice
database and signal that a payment should not be settled right away. The
only way to hold a payment was to insert the magic UnknownPreimage value
in the invoice database. This commit introduces a distinct flag to
signal that an invoice is a hold invoice and thereby allows the preimage
to be present in the database already.
Preparation for (key send) hodl invoices for which we already know the
preimage.
This commit extends the link with a new synchronous delivery point for
local UpdateAddHTLC messages. The switch method SendHTLC is updated to
use this delivery point and thereby becomes a synchronous call.
For MPP payments, synchronous hand-off is important. Otherwise the next
pathfinding round could start without the channel balance updated yet.
